Transportation Specialist 12-month W-2 contract Bolingbrook, IL -Hybrid.

Schedule:

Onsite 6 days a month (Tues-Thurs every other week for corporate weeks) This is a W-2 contract opportunity, and candidates must be able to work on our W-2 only. NO C2C or 1099.

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform all activities related to collecting and submitting parcel shipment proof of deliveries (PODs) and submitting address reroutes to ensure guest escalations are resolved in a timely manner. This individual works closely with guest services to resolve escalated parcel shipment items and to maintain a high level of service.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•Essential Functions): Collect parcel proof of deliveries (PODs) from carrier base external systems and submit via Guest Services internal systems Submit guest-requested address reroutes to carrier base Track escalated POD submissions and address reroute requests via internal database Assist Guest Services with escalated parcel transportation issues as necessary Communicate delivery information to carriers as requested to successfully ensure delivery Manage shipment exceptions, shipment prioritization, and expedited shipments. When necessary, assist in tracking shipments and manage daily exceptions to ensure desired service results. Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1 year of experience working with a Logistics/Distribution/Supply Chain environment preferred Working knowledge of SAP. Must be comfortable learning new software. Strong analytical skills required Previous experience managing vendors/carriers preferred Experience in process improvement and best practices preferred. Must be self-motivated. Strong organization and follow-up skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Able to evaluate situations and make informed decisions Able to perform multiple tasks at the same time Microsoft Office proficiency required; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Able to talk to vendors, carriers, and DCs on the telephone Able to maintain a professional image both in person, on the phone, and in writing Flexibility in daily task assignments as assigned
