We are currently seeking a Buyer/Planner to support purchasing activities as well as tasks related to demand/supply planning, overall inventory management and continuous process improvement With growth firmly in our sites, both for our people and our business, the successful candidate will seek and execute means to effectively vary supply chain processes. They will be passionate about collaboratively engaging other team members as we work to establish and optimize processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • All activities related to Purchase Order management, including review of demand/supply signals, maintenance of supplier pricing, PO entry, PO maintenance, and supplier communication.
  • Maintain data within the Epicor system to enable clear communication of pricing, discount structures, lead time and related data.
  • Management of supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. This will include creating and maintaining ROP's and EOQ's, along with more complex planning for long lead time items.
  • Inventory Management support, including ABC classification, engagement in cycle counting and inventory accuracy improvement.
  • Partnering with the Customer Service and Warehouse associates to align and improve processes related to material and information flows.
  • Negotiate improved pricing with suppliers as needed.
  • Support implementation and ongoing use of our Epicor ERP system. Assist with maintaining settings, user documentation, and with suggesting and implementing improvements.
  • Support maintenance of metrics/KPI's and assist with root cause/corrective action activity. Qualifications Required Bachelors from an accredited institution, or equivalent supply chain experience
  • 2+ years of Buyer and demand/supply planning experience Demonstrated critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences Business acumen and ability to make business-based decisions Proficiency in MS Office suite Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred
  • Epicor experience
  • Certification such as CPIM or CSCP
  • Experience with continuous process improvement methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma g
