Job Description

Job Title:
Logistics Coordinator I Duration:
14 months
Location:
Elgin, IL 60124
Worksite:
Hybrid | 3 days in office location, 2 days in home office
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM | (Flexible hours, some OT may be required)
Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing international shipments, export compliance activities, and cross-border logistics operations. This role ensures compliance with global trade regulations while supporting efficient movement of goods across domestic and international supply chains.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute international shipping and export compliance activities. File export declarations through ACE/AESDirect and obtain required ITNs. Conduct Restricted and Denied Party Screening in accordance with EAR and ITAR regulations. Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, and Country of Origin documents. Manage Canada and Mexico cross-border shipments, including USMCA and CARM requirements. Ensure compliance with C-TPAT standards and dangerous goods regulations, including Lithium-Ion battery shipments. Resolve shipping issues, delays, and customs holds. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs officials, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field. 3+ years of experience in global trade compliance, export operations, or international logistics. Strong knowledge of EAR, ITAR, FTR, USMCA, and C-TPAT regulations. Experience with ACE/AESDirect, Oracle ERP, and Global Trade Management systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
