Job Description

Description•\ The Planner/Purchaser is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in building a career in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing. This position supports purchasing, planning, and inventory control activities to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.\ Youll gain hands-on experience working with suppliers, managing inventory, and using ERP systems (GeniusERP) while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role provides strong exposure to real-world supply chain processes and opportunities for growth and development.\ Requirements•\ Assist in planning and purchasing materials, components, and supplies to support production needs.\ Create and manage purchase orders based on system recommendations and guidance from senior team members.\ Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.\ Monitor inventory levels and help identify potential shortages or excess stock.\ Maintain accurate data within the ERP system (GeniusERP) for purchasing and inventory activities.\ Support expediting orders and help resolve delivery or quantity issues.\ Assist with sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotes.\ Help track supplier performance and maintain vendor records.\ Assist with invoice verification to ensure alignment with purchase orders and receipts.\ Support incoming material inspections and documentation processes.\ Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits.\ Follow established purchasing and inventory control procedures.\ Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.\ Required Skills/Abilities•\ Basic understanding of supply chain, purchasing, or business operations.\ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.\ Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment.\ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.\ Positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to develop new skills.\ Education/Experience•\ Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, operations, or a related field.\ Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in supply chain, operations, or business is a plus but not required.\ Physical Requirements•\ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
