The Arc of Opportunity Employment Transition Services Coordinator Fitchburg, MA Apply Fitchburg, Fitchburg, MA, US Salary Range:
$26.00 To $27.00 Hourly Employment Transition Services Coordinator This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day implementation of MassAbility (Pre-ETS) Transition Services. This includes the facilitation, outreach, referral, curriculum, job coaching, and compliance requirements of MassAbility's Transition Services model. This role reports directly to the Division Director and works in close coordination with MassAbility Counselors, school partners, families, and the broader Employment Services team to ensure seamless continuity between transition-aged programming and adult employment services.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday =40 hours Hours are flexible to the needs of the program since there may be groups that run after 4pm.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinating outreach and recruitment across schools, families, MassAbility Area Offices, and community partners to build and maintain student referral pipelines.
  • Creating person-centered curriculum for Youth Career Camps and Single-Session Transition Services using approved applications and platforms.
  • Scheduling and facilitating Youth Career Camps and Single-Session Transition Services.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for school-based partnerships and coordinating Work-Based Learning placements with the Job Developer.
  • Providing 1:1 job coaching for work-based learning placements.
  • Managing the student intake process, skill and interest inventories, and person-centered planning documentation, including the Pre-ETS Service Plan.
  • Managing stipend processing workflows in partnership with the Division Director and finance staff, including attendance verification and documentation.
  • Monitoring student progress and engagement data, and reporting outcomes directly to the Division Director and to MassAbility as required.
  • Ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across in-person, remote, hybrid, and community-based instructional formats.
  • Providing transportation as needed to career camps and in-person sessions.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record and CORI is required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.
  • At least two (2) years of experience providing employment related supports including outreach, facilitation, and acquiring worksites.
  • Must be available to facilitate groups during afterschool hours, including weekends as scheduled.
  • Cross functional communication skills in written and oral
  • English which conveys clear and concise information in a professional and respectful manner to individuals supported, family members/guardians, peers, government agencies, community partners and employees.
  • Functional and situational reasoning to follow policy, problem solve, exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage crisis.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., kneel, bend and carry items, and sustain periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
  • Ability to physically assist individuals according to their needs and perform physical restraint if necessary.
