Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Logistics and Material Handling Coordinator to manage and actively participate in the receiving, handling, staging, inventory, loading and shipping of mezzanine components. This position combines logistics coordination with daily hands-on material handling. The right candidate will be comfortable working in the warehouse, operating material-handling equipment, preparing loads, and coordinating shipments from fabrication through jobsite delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, identify and organize incoming mezzanine components.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment including overhead cranes to move structural beams, columns, joists, decking, stairs, handrails, guardrails and related components.
• Pick, stage, bundle, band and prepare materials for shipment.
• Organize components by project, load and installation sequence.
• Load and unload flatbed trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Verify materials against bills of material, packing lists, drawings and shipping documents.
• Check quantities, part numbers, dimensions, and condition of materials before shipment.
• Properly position, protect, bundle, and secure materials for transportation.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material-location records.
• Keep the warehouse organized so materials can be quickly located and safely handled.
• Coordinate daily pickups and deliveries with drivers, carriers, production, project managers, and field installation crews.
• Schedule trucks and help plan loads based on weight, dimensions, delivery sequence, and jobsite requirements.
• Track shipments and communicate delivery status or delays.
• Identify shortages, damaged components, incorrect parts, and other discrepancies and help resolve them quickly.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on safe lifting, rigging, equipment operation, housekeeping, and load securement. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, warehousing, structural steel, or fabrication preferred.
• Forklift and heavy-material-handling experience strongly preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading flatbed trailers preferred.
• Ability to read bills of material, packing lists, part numbers, and basic drawings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity and self-discipline. Working Conditions
• 1st Shift position, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as required.
• Requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
• Work environment includes exposure to welding fumes, sparks, noise, and moving equipment (PPE provided and required).

Pay:

From $18.00 per hour
