- Coordinate freight shipments by rail and over the road
- Schedule pickups, deliveries, and transfers with carriers and customers
- Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers
- Prepare and review shipping documents, bills of lading, and related paperwork
- Communicate with railroads, trucking companies, terminals, and warehouses
- Monitor transit times, delays, and exceptions to ensure timely delivery
- Resolve transportation issues, claims, and service concerns
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and carrier performance
- Support compliance with transportation regulations, safety requirements, and company policies
- Identify opportunities to improve freight efficiency and reduce transportation costs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in logistics, transportation, freight coordination, or supply chain operations desired
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications desired
Work Environment:
This position may require frequent communication with external carriers and internal teams, as well as occasional flexibility to address shipment issues outside normal business hours.Pay:
$60,000.00- $90,000.
