The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for executing and optimizing the field distribution model to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfillment. This role facilitates the flow of goods and information across internal stakeholders, third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and field service resources by managing WMS order processing, supporting internal customer service, and coordinating service member routing to meet business and customer requirements. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): WMS Order Processing & 3PL Coordination - Process and release orders through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to multiple third-party logistics (3PL) locations. Monitor order status, resolve exceptions, and ensure alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) Internal Customer Service - Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (sales, service, operations). Provide real-time updates on order status, inventory availability, and shipment tracking while proactively addressing issues Field Service Routing & Coordination - Schedule and route service members to prospective and existing customers based on geography, urgency, and capacity. Optimize routes to improve efficiency, reduce transit time, and maximize service coverage Maintain accurate system data (orders,3PL inventory movements, delivery confirmations) Collaborate with 3PL partners to ensure proper handling, compliance, and documentation Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes and workflows Monitor daily order queues and prioritize releases based on urgency, inventory availability, and customer commitments Track end-to-end shipment lifecycle from order creation through final delivery and confirmation Maintain real-time visibility across WMS, TMS, and 3PL systems Communicate with carriers and 3PL partners to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance Track KPIs such as on-time shipping, dwell time, and order accuracy Support onboarding of new 3PL locations or carriers Analyze routing efficiency and recommend improvements to reduce cost and transit time Balance workload across service members based on geography, skill set, and availability Adjust schedules dynamically in response to cancellations or urgent requests Work Experience & Requirements Preferred 1+ years of USDOT Regulatory experience. Required 1+ years of transportation experience. Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task. Effective communication including writing, speaking, collaboration, customer, and teamwork skills. Organization and time management skills that enable working in a fast-paced environment. Quick and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work in an ERP system. High performance leader that is a self-starter with personal accountability and follow-through.
Travel & Physical Requirements:
