The Production Planner is responsible for the materials PO's and delivery tracking as well as planning production based on internal and external customer demand, meeting customer expectations, while maintaining and balancing pre-established safety stock levels and efficiency in the manufacturing plant. The Production Planner is also responsible for the creation of stock transfer orders (STO's) of products shipped but not produced in the manufacturing facility.Essential Functions:
MRP-Learn Refresco MRP, what it means and how it's used. Gain basic understanding of the tool and company best practices. Line Scheduling-Assists in basic line scheduling and principles, and why the system recommends orders. Reviewing tools needed like customer flavor changeover matrixes and production sequencing. Material Ordering-Assesses BOMs, material master data, and PRRs. Understand how to make a variant to change the view in each tcode. Learn the materials needed for products, appropriate suppliers. and how to place PO/Pull materials. Leadtime-Provides material order cycle times with the purpose of learning how it affects production scheduling. Production Attainment-Understand or knowledge in the run rates of lines and the lines' capabilities. Attends meetings with operations and supply chain team. Optimal DOS-Is knowledgeable in the days of supply and goal targets. Safety Stock-Adheres to safety stocks currently in system and strategy behind settings. BOM / Master Data-Reviews and maintains BOM and master data importance, reviews and maintains for accuracy. Item Changes/New Product Launches-Learning about ACE and where training documentation is located. Learn the commercial team organizational chart. Operations Collaboration-Gaining knowledge of operations counterparts in plant. STO's and LT-Preforms the process of how to do transfers and when they need to be placed Production Planning Escalation Support-Learning change is inevitable and beginning to develop new support relationships. Reporting- Initiate, Provide, Compile, Analyze-Pulls and compile relative basic data for reporting purposes.

Fill rate, production attainment, aged, DOS, safety stock, FG transfersRequired Skills and Competencies:
Organizational Understanding- Know the organizational roles chart; specifically, who are the cross functional counterparts and what support role they play in production planning. Supplier Communication
- Knowledge of supplier matrix for all materials Customer Communication
- Gaining knowledge of which customers and products are on which lines, and the associated account managers Aged Inventory
- Understands what aged inventory means, the reporting available, and basics of how to avoid Demand Planning Collaboration
- Collaborate with demand planners and which accounts they service. Begin to develop relationships with DP on top Refresco accounts. Problem Solving Skills
- Developing basic problem-solving skills by learning of and gaining access to all the system tools Refresco provides such as GIB, SAP, MRP, BW, PBI, shared excel reporting.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field preferred. Prior experience in food/ beverage manufacturing, sourcing or supply chain highly desirable. 3+ years of SAP experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment APICs Certified is a plus.Working Conditions:
