Job Description

division is currently seeking a Materials Operations Planner. This is an onsite role located in our Arden, NC facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do: The Materials Operations Planner supports Eaton's MVCA production department through the effective shortage resolution of a wide variety of direct material from domestic and global sources. This individual will take leadership of resolving current open shortages, communicating status within the facility, and escalations where necessary. Additionally, this individual will be expected to identify alternate sources as well as provide leadership within the department and with the supply base.In this function you will:
- Attends weekly production meetings to provide updates on tier board shortages and resolution timeframe.\
- Work with design engineering and customer order engineering to evaluate alternate options for shortages.
- Works with the material planning group to drive supply base to meet delivery and inventory requirements.
- Reach out to suppliers for delivery updates and pull team members in as required.
- Submit GPS escalations as needed.
- Acts as a conduit between suppliers and Eaton personnel to resolve issues as they arise.
- Research new sources of supply and performs tactical Supply Chain assessments of these sources, including the development of supplier selection criteria. Facilitate the implementation of goals and objectives between Corporate commodity management and the facility SCM team.
- Develop quick turn sources for short cycled suppliers
- Leverage relationships to hold suppliers accountable to perform to Eaton's expectations on delivery, quality and overall cost.
- Proactively resolve delivery issues.
- Ownership of correcting supply interrupters to schedule plan.
- Work with Network Scheduler, buyers, and planners to mitigate sales risk due to material shortages.
- Support divisional and corporate initiatives.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing.
- Relocation is not available. Candidates must currently reside within a 50 mile radius of Arden, NC to be considered.

- Three (3) years' experience in a supply chain function is preferred including direct buying and supplier management responsibility.
- Supply chain experience in high ETO environment.
- Experience in project execution, resiliency, risk management and quality and service metrics.
- Experience with driving corporate led initiative and division projects.
- Experience with electronic suppliers and resolving long lead time component shortages.
APICS/CPIM
certification. ##Skills:
POSITION CRITERIA
- Broad understanding of supply chain principles and the ability to interpret and communicate complex specifications and instructions.
- Thorough understanding of negotiation techniques and tactics.
- Self-directed, self-starter with excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing and principles including the ability to research, analyze negotiate and close various types of purchase efforts within guidelines of good business and ethical practices.
- Knowledge of MAPICS and Asheville scheduling systems
- Responding to all levels of managerial requests requires flexibility of dealing with new situations and demands while maintaining normal activities.
- Providing updates to operations team and Arden SCM individuals on escalation status and material delivery.
- Demonstrated success in materials, purchasing, or customer support activities.
- Proven work experience in project management and team leader.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Able to achieve results via influence.
- Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
