Overview:
The Vendor Relations Manager will be responsible for providing strong, aggressive leadership to assist in generating best in class vendor partnerships and maximizing marketing funds in support of SCHEELS initiatives. The primary focus will be on cultivating, maintaining and assisting in the growth of vendor relationships with some of the best footwear and sports brands in retail: On, HOKA, Jordan, Under Armour, Brooks, Birkenstock, Rawlings, Easton, etc.
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to reinforce SCHEELS position as a specialty retailer Study industry marketing best practices and the competitive landscape to develop strategic and tactical marketing plans Develop powerful, cohesive and consistent marketing plans in-line with SCHEELS ultimate vision and goals Study and identify SCHEELS and vendors' business strategies, challenges and opportunities to drive brand awareness and demand generation Study the competition and research new opportunities to enhance the SCHEELS brand and the vendor partners to increase market share Build and maintain strong relationship with key vendor partners Working with vendors to negotiate, plan and implement the use of any co-op, marketing and discretionary funds they provide across the entire company Compile supporting documents for proof of performance and filing the claims with the vendors Manage the co-op marketing budget with a high degree of accuracy, consistently meeting and exceeding set goals

Education & Experience:
Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, advertising, business or related discipline; and/or 5+ years' experience in corporate business practices with a proficiency and understanding of the ever developing retail environment.
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
