Position Summary Responsible for assuring availability of raw ingredients and packaging materials for the production and packaging of items for warehouse sales. Monitors inventory, issues purchase orders and coordinates with vendors and other departments within the business. Job Duties Reviews and updates Inventory spreadsheet using internal Production and Orders reports. Updates pulls vs. projections tracker for assigned items. Tracks deliveries using Receiving History. Contacts vendors via email or by telephone. Follows up with vendors if product problems occur such as missed shipment, short, damaged, incorrect product, best-before protocol violation/ best-before protocol not met/shelf-life. Verifies and adjusts delivery schedule to ensure appropriate inventory levels to meet production needs. Communicates with buyers, reviews contracts and vendor commitments. Issues purchase orders to vendors, and tracks sales by region. Uses D365 to enter work orders into AS400 and Warehouse Management System (WMS) according to production plans. Updates and verifies cost sheet for packaged items, including raw and labor costs. Attends production meetings twice per month. Drives personal vehicle to visit regional vendors as needed. Walks the production floor once per week to view the production line, and escorts vendors. Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery. Assists with department duties as necessary. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
