Job Description

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Coordinator II to support The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance.
Note:
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Responsible for support of Shipping & Receiving operations on the AUTEC project.
Essential Responsibilities:
Receive storage, distribution, accountability, and issue of supplies and equipment arriving or shipping by barge or air. Receive, sort, screen, log, monitor and expedite all inbound materials. Receive and prepare outbound cargo for shipment by barge or air. Build pallets and load-outs with basic understanding of hazmat, IMDG and IATA protocols Operate Government vehicles between Shipping & Receiving and Fresh Creek airport Provide cargo and baggage support for aircraft Maintains material in inventory, and expedites movement of material. Properly stores material in assigned locations. Maintain cleanliness and order in warehouse environment. Load and unload trucks and transport cargo between Andros Freight Services and other locations on AUTEC base. Act as U.S. Mail courier transferring U.S. Mail and classified cargo. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum 3 years' experience in a logistics related field, including training and 2 years' experience in the handling of hazardous materials. Forklift Operator certification required, with 3 years' experience in forklift operation. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds Knowledge of air support equipment and heavy equipment for loading, offloading and delivery (air and sea) for weight and balance and stow plan creation. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends according to aircraft and barge changing schedule, and test related requirements. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat Good organizational skills Good oral and written communication skills A valid Driver's License and passport are required. Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance. Must be able to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
