Job Description

Job Description This individual will own supply planning activities for an assigned product portfolio and develop supply strategies within SAP APO. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate supply plans, ensuring inventory is positioned appropriately to support customer demand, and managing continuity of supply across manufacturing and distribution networks. The consultant will act as a market planner and work with commercial teams, manufacturing sites, and external manufacturing partners to evaluate supply risks, address constraints, and communicate business impacts. They will be expected to proactively identify issues such as capacity limitations, material shortages, or inventory gaps, drive mitigation plans, and confidently articulate recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires a strong system user who understands advanced planning functionality and can effectively translate planning outputs into actionable business decisions. https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements 3-5 years of supply planning experience within a large enterprise environment, supporting products manufactured through external or third-party manufacturing networks. Experience planning directly within
SAP APO, SAP
IBP, Kinaxis, or a similar advanced planning system (not solely Excel-based planning). Experience developing, owning, and communicating supply plans while balancing customer service, inventory, capacity, and manufacturing constraints. Proven ability to own and communicate supply plans, proactively identify and mitigate supply risks, and influence cross-functional stakeholders across commercial, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Consumer healthcare, consumer products, or CPG industry experience. Exposure to complex supply chains involving inventory positioning, distribution center replenishment, and continuity of supply planning.
