Job Description

Production Planner Who We Are:

What We Need:
We need a Production Planne r who is responsible for the production planning strategy for the plant. This includes, but is not limited to, factory floor schedule planning, long-term capacity planning, daily/weekly production schedule extension, as well as developing urgent change plans based on available materials for production at the plant.
What You Will Do:
You will participate in team meetings, both regularly scheduled and ad hoc, with counterparts in Logistics, Production, Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Customer Service, R&D, Engineering, and Commercialization teams You will prepare a 6-week rolling detailed factory floor schedule for a selected set of lines within our manufacturing plants and a monthly view You will create a constrained rough cut capacity plan over the 12-month rolling S&OP planning horizon You will make recommendations via S&OP process to determine long-term requirements for production and inventory You will develop multiple scenarios, articulate key decisions and recommendations to Supply Chain Leadership team, highlighting service, inventory, and cost tradeoffs You will own Slow Moving and Obsolete visibility throughout the entire process, working with Sales to monitor new products and proactively adjust production, and to identify and execute run out strategies You will lead continuous improvement projects and/or efficiency plays in the evolution of the supply planning strategy You will manage assigned SKU's throughout the entire supply chain and communicate disruptions to Supply Chain leadership team You will manage inventory for finished goods to achieve established targets You will define and set floor stock targets and manage portfolio with SKU velocity conditions in mind You will monitor Days Forward Cover and Weeks of Supply levels working together with Logistics to ensure that inventory is available to support projected demand You will work with R&D, coordinate the New Product Launch process from initiation to customer delivery You will prepare for and lead the discussion in the
Daily Tactical Meetings What You Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field 3+ years' experience in Plant Scheduling or Supply Planning —preferably in food manufacturing Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills Ability to work effectively and creatively in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize under pressure Excellent consultative skills and the ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization Solid leadership and communication skills concentrated on data gathering, meeting facilitation, and data dissemination Manage supply planning tasks using Excel, ERP, and reporting Detailed and result-oriented project management on several projects at the same time
