This position is eligible for Medical, Vision, Dental, and 401k Addison Group is partnering with a growing transportation and logistics organization to identify an Operations Executive for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative Customer Operations team supporting large customer accounts while gaining hands-on experience in freight management, transportation operations, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, technically savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage customer calls and emails while providing exceptional service and timely updates. Enter, build, and maintain customer orders within transportation management systems. Schedule appointments with shippers and receivers through online portals, phone, and email. Plan, route, monitor, and track shipments to meet customer requirements. Maintain accurate load, customer, shipper, and receiver information. Proactively identify and resolve shipment or service issues before they impact customers. Coordinate with customers, warehouses, carriers, accounting, and internal operations teams to ensure successful freight movement. Monitor and organize activity within load board systems. Assist with customer KPI reporting, transportation analysis, and cost-saving recommendations. Develop process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives for customer accounts.

Qualifications:

Customer-facing experience in a professional environment. Experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, supply chain, or a related industry is preferred but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer proficiency. Ability to quickly learn new software and multiple internal systems. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
