Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to support our operational needs. Your expertise in purchasing systems and supply chain management will drive efficiency and cost savings across the organization. Responsibilities Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to source products, negotiate prices, and secure favorable terms for procurement needs. Utilize ERP system, Epicor Kinetic, to process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels. Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier communications, and inventory data using spreadsheets and ERP. Monitor supply chain processes including logistics, inventory control, and materials management to ensure timely delivery of goods. Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize shipping schedules and reduce lead times while managing vendor relationships effectively. Assist in implementing purchasing management systems and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for sourcing and procurement procedures. Requirements Proven experience working with ERP systems (preferably Epicor). Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, supply chain management, and logistics operations. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to negotiate terms and resolve issues. Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), data analysis, and inventory cost methodologies (e.g., standard cost vs average cost). Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
