Job Description
Join Our Team The recreational marine industry is in growth mode and Waterfront Brands is the premier manufacturer of waterfront equipment in North America, with offices in Fergus Falls, MN, Claremore, OK, and Fort Lauderdale, FL. The company's flagship brands include ShoreMaster, HydroHoist, and Neptune Boat Lifts; additional brands include RhinoDock, PolyDock Products, ShoreMaster Fabrics, RotoMoldUSA, and HyPower. Work Authorization Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Location This position is based at our Claremore, OK facility and requires regular, on-site attendance. Relocation assistance is not available. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the facility or be willing to relocate at their own expense prior to their start date. Position Summary The Buyer/Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating material requirements to support production schedules and customer demand. This role manages material planning and purchasing activities to ensure material availability and support production requirements. The Buyer/Planner collaborates with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Operations to balance supply and demand.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Material Planning Develop and maintain material plans based on forecasts, customer demand, and production requirements. Review MRP recommendations and execute planning actions to support production schedules. Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages. Maintain planning parameters, lead times, and item master data within the ERP/MRP system. Coordinate material requirements with Production, Operations, and Customer Service. Procurement Execute purchasing activities for materials, components, and services from approved suppliers. Create, release, and maintain purchase orders and related procurement records within the ERP system. Qualifications Education Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience Three to five years of experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain operations preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience sourcing and purchasing fabricated parts and electrical components is a plus. Experience using ERP/MRP systems required. Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of purchasing, material planning, and ERP/MRP processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles. Knowledge of forecasting, capacity planning, and material planning processes. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Occasionally required to walk through plant and warehouse environments. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Occasional travel may be required.Job Type:
