$17/hr to $19/hr Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Supply Chain Technician to support the efficient management, distribution, and replenishment of general, medical, and surgical supplies throughout various healthcare settings. The Supply Chain Technician will be responsible for receiving and putting away supplies, maintaining inventory levels, picking and distributing products, preparing and restocking supply carts, monitoring product expiration dates, and ensuring supplies are available to clinical departments in a timely and accurate manner. Working as part of the healthcare Supply Chain/Materials Management team, the Supply Chain Technician will collaborate with nursing units, clinics, clinical partners, management, and other hospital staff to support uninterrupted patient care and departmental operations. The position will also utilize the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), handheld scanners, package-scanning technologies, and other computer systems to maintain accurate inventory records, process replenishment orders, document discrepancies, and complete issues and credits. The Supply Chain Technician will be expected to maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked supply locations while providing responsive customer service in a busy healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Put away general, medical, and surgical supplies into clean rooms, supply carts, storage areas, and designated locations while following proper inventory rotation procedures
• Scan inventory labels and utilize replenishment systems to generate orders for stock and non-stock supplies
• Pick supplies from designated storage locations for distribution to nursing units, clinics, procedural areas, and other healthcare departments
• Prepare and restock Case Carts, Exchange Carts, Code/Crash Carts, Procedural Carts, trays, and other designated supply locations
• Monitor supply locations for product expiration dates and remove expired or unusable products in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Distribute oxygen tanks and other designated medical supplies safely and efficiently
• Deliver supplies, packages, and materials to nursing units, clinics, and other hospital locations using appropriate signature and tracking technologies
• Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, supply requests, and customer service inquiries from clinical and operational departments
• Process issues and credits within the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring appropriate allocation and documentation of item costs
• Identify, report, investigate, and document inventory discrepancies in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory audits, and other activities designed to maintain inventory accuracy
• Utilize handheld devices, barcode scanners, package scanners, computer systems, and applicable software programs to perform daily Supply Chain responsibilities
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and ensure supply locations and par areas remain free of dirt, dust, trash, and unnecessary materials
• Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
• Support the training and orientation of Supply Chain staff as requested
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, management, clinical partners, and other stakeholders to resolve supply-related issues and support patient-care operations
• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a busy, high-pressure healthcare environment
• Follow established safety, infection prevention, inventory control, documentation, and facility procedures
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working in patient-care and clinical environments
• Perform other duties as assigned within the requirements of the position

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; healthcare, hospital supply chain, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or materials management experience preferred

Experience:

Prior healthcare and/or inventory management experience preferred; candidates with relevant transferable experience may be considered

Computer Skills:

Demonstrated ability to use computers, typing systems, handheld devices, barcode/package scanners, and standard software applications

MMIS:

Experience utilizing a Materials Management Information System (MMIS) preferred; must demonstrate the ability to learn and effectively use the facility's inventory management systems

Office Equipment:

Knowledge of general office equipment, including printers, copy machines, fax machines, and related technology

Communication:

Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including active listening and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders

Customer Service:

Demonstrated customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required

Organization:

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records and follow established procedures

Work Environment:

Must be able to work effectively in a busy, high-pressure healthcare environment and adapt to changing departmental priorities

Teamwork:

Ability to work collaboratively with Supply Chain staff, management, nursing personnel, clinical partners, and other hospital departments

Physical/Operational Requirements:

Must be able to perform the physical and operational duties associated with supply distribution, inventory management, cart restocking, and delivery responsibilities as required by the position

Must maintain compliance with all facility policies, safety requirements, inventory procedures, and applicable regulatory standards
