Our client is seeking a Logistics Admin Assistant/Traffic Assistant to support warehouse traffic flow, shipment coordination, and outbound logistics operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This is a fully on-site role supporting day and night shift operations as required.
Work Week :
(Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) Position overview: The Level 2 Traffic Assistant is responsible for helping maintain efficient warehouse operations by verifying dock doors, confirming trailer readiness, and coordinating with jockeys to support timely loading operations. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and coordination across multiple warehouse functions to ensure smooth shift transitions and outbound shipment accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
Verifying dock doors and trailer readiness to ensure empties are available for loading Coordinating with jockeys and warehouse personnel to support outbound flow Receiving and providing detailed shift pass-downs Reviewing load lineups with incoming Traffic Assistants Supporting Warehouse Traffic Supervisor with shift startup activities Printing, distributing, and signing outgoing Bills of Lading (BOLs) Reconciling SAP and yard reports with guard yard checks Monitoring staging bays and assigning loads to loaders Finalizing completed shipment documentation and ship history reports Maintaining continuity between shifts to support seamless warehouse operations
Skills Required:
Warehouse traffic flow and shift continuity knowledge SAP and yard management systems experience BOL documentation and processing knowledge Coordination with drivers, loaders, and jockeys Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Experience Required:
Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or related field Experience working within logistics SOPs and warehouse processes Minimum 1 year of warehousing/office experience
Experience Preferred:
Corporate logistics environment experience
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Education Preferred:
Associate's Degree or higher
