Position Summary:
This role is responsible for leading and supporting Ardelyx's API external manufacturing, inventory management, and contract manufacturing organization (CMO) partners. The Senior Supply Chain Manager provides oversight of CMO partners to ensure the timely delivery of materials, effective cost management, supply continuity, and execution of change controls. Working closely with Supply Chain team, Technical Operations, Quality, CMOs, and other cross-functional partners, this role supports API production activities across the supply network. Key responsibilities include monitoring inventory accuracy, resolving supply chain issues, coordinating logistics activities, ensuring compliance with ex-US market requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the API supply network. The ideal candidate brings strong pharmaceutical supply chain experience, exceptional organizational and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities :
Partner with third-party manufacturers to align production schedules, raw materials, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance for small molecule APIs Manage Ardelyx inventory across API-related CMO sites, ensuring accurate inventory control and efficient supply chain operations Manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders related to small-molecule API manufacturing and material movements. Monitor expenses against approved budgets and support accrual processes with Finance and Accounting Work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, CMC, and Regulatory Affairs to support supply planning activities, identify potential risks, and develop proactive mitigation plans Use ERP systems and planning tools to model scenarios, track supply risks, and optimize logistics. Maintain supply chain policies, procedures, and documentation and support training activities as needed Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations for management and cross-functional stakeholders Complete API and RSM related change control impact assessments Work with Supply Chain Director to ensure ex-US alliance orders are delivered timely and in accordance with contractual obligations and requirements
Qualifications:
BA/BS in a technical, scientific, engineering, supply chain, or related discipline with 6 -8 years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain or CMC project management. Demonstrated experience in API project management or supply chain for a virtual supply chain network Experienced in managing external manufacturing relationships Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners Detail oriented with strong analytical and computer skills Excellent negotiating and problem-solving abilities Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Up to 15% travel required The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $165,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
