Job Description

City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Rotating Overview:
Full Time, Rotating Shifts As a Supply Chain Associate IV with Sentara, you will be responsible for the supply management function in the designated area. Additional responsibilities of a Supply Chain Logistics Associate IV may include but are not limited to participation in financial reviews, trialing technological innovations designed to advance Supply Chain Services, forecasting, vendor compliance, ordering of specialty supplies, backorder/recall management, and support of the Clinical & Supply Chain teams. A willingness to support cost-saving initiatives and opportunities relating to financial stewardship. Responsible for supporting new product trials and coordination with the implementation team. Ability to review budget variance reports and the cost associated with new products implemented. Responsible for maintaining close communication with the Clinical & Supply Chain Leadership, Colleagues, and other staff regarding supply-related topics.
Inventory Management:
  • Manage inventory balances across the designated areas.
  • Ability to understand the logistical requirements to meet demand during an ever-changing global supply chain and possess the flexibility to pivot a plan at a moment's notice.
  • Responsible for the ordering, storage, inventory, and distribution of supplies in assigned areas. Implements established plan which ensures supplies and equipment are readily available and orderly.
  • Track shipments and coordinate internal stock transfers to mitigate disruption from delays.
  • Assist as necessary with product conversions and or substitutions.
  • Managing non-conforming supplies including returns in assigned designated areas.
  • Ability to stay focused and possess the time management skills to prioritize tasks ensuring job requirements are met.
  • Responsible for replenishing specialty supplies.
  • Demonstrates leadership skillsets.
  • Responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance regarding products and equipment.
  • Communicate regulatory concerns or variances to key stakeholders.
  • Support Initiatives that ensure Bill Only, Bill & Replace, are completed timely.
Reporting/Communication/Customer Support:
  • Work closely with on-site supply chain management staff to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Follow up timely with internal and external customers using email, phone, or other means acceptable for use by Sentara
  • Ability to critically escalate product shortage and stock out matters to management.
  • Capable of escalating with vendor representatives our product demand needs including deficiencies related to their failure to supply and meet our inventory levels.
  • Employee must be comfortable navigating numerous platforms, ERPs, and other 3rd party systems.
  • Individuals must be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
Leadership & Skills Development:
  • Willingness to aspire and develop skills for potential Leadership opportunities @ Sentara.
  • Navigate through the Sentara Leadership program and coursework to advance in a leadership role.
  • Build Vendor relationships to advance Sentara's Strategic Objectives.
  • Develop interpersonal relationship skills to increase comfort with all service line staff.
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Required:
5 years of Supply Chain Healthcare preferred
