Full-Time Monday - Friday 2 pm - 11 pm On Call Occasional nights or weekends Due to the possibility of business needs changing, LIFELINE reserves the right to change an employee's primary schedule. Job Description Prepares components from whole blood collection and can perform computer aided labeling. Support distribution operations. This position rotates in the Distribution On-Call schedule. Technical Services General Duties Maintenance and storage of blood components including temperature monitoring Labeling of blood Biohazard disposal Quality Control and Preventative Maintenance bexWise Affirm and bexWise Process Operation Component Duties Component preparation Packing recovered plasma Whole Blood Preparation Red Blood Cell Preparation Whole Blood Plasma Preparation ALYX Plasma Preparation Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Quality Control and Preventative Maintenance Packing and Shipping Recovered Plasma Biohazard Disposal Maintenance and Storage of Blood Components, including Temperature Monitoring System Labeling of blood and blood products bexWISE operations Distribution Duties Daily orders Blood shipments and returns Shipping recovered plasma Inventory control Resource management FedEx Importing and Exporting Irradiation of Blood Products Training IWELCOME, ILEAD, Annual cGMP, Annual Safety, Annual Human Resources (Sexual Harassment, Workplace Bullying, Diversity/Unconscious Bias), Medical Ethics, Customer Service, Blood Establishment Computer Systems, and all required departmental and interdepartmental training. CPR (recommended) and First Aid Qualifications

Performance of this job could expose the employee to blood-borne pathogens. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
