Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Schedule, plan and confirm deliveries. Use our online tracking system to keep an eye on trucks and goods Keep track of employee locations and dispatch them to and from jobs. Fill out paperwork, keep track of expenses, answer customer/driver phone calls, keep track of vehicles and other asset maintenance schedules, and set up routes for drivers Works with Transportation managers, driver liaison and the service department to optimize routes Assists in determining daily level of driver staffing to provide best mix of responsiveness and productivity Assigns routes to appropriate Drivers throughout the day and for the next day Handles incoming calls from customers and other departments Records and documents information from Drivers and distributes to appropriate departments Communicates with maintenance / shop personnel Other duties as assigned This is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and/or duties and may always not contain all capabilities necessary to perform the job due to circumstances. Operational, safety and other needs may require the employee to perform any and all other duties as assigned. Ideal candidate will have transportation experience, specifically as a dispatcher.

24/7 operation with business spikes around and on the holidays 1000-2030 Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Assist drivers with paperwork Excellent written and verbal communication skills Some dispatching/planning experience (preferred) Background in transportation (preferred) Fast paced environment with extreme focus on "On time" delivery Must be able to multi-task. Constant email updates and phones calls Customer oriented Must be fluent in Microsoft office (Outlook, excel, Word) Strong work ethic and attendance is a must Must be able to work independently and at times alone overnight
Special Requirements:
Familiarity with transportation business preferred but not required Work authorization: United States (Required)
