Job Description

Job Summary :
City Ambulance Service is seeking a Logistics personnel responsible for supporting the Logistics department in providing support through professional, friendly, and accurate fleet and supply arrangements in coordination with regional supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Preventative Maintenance:
Schedule and track routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and detailing for all emergency vehicles to minimize downtime.
Compliance & Licensing:
Ensure all ambulances meet local, state, and federal transport regulations, including annual inspections and permit renewals.
Breakdown Response:
Serve as the primary point of contact for mechanical breakdowns, coordinating towing and temporary vehicle replacements.
Medical Stock Management:
Maintain accurate inventory levels of all medical supplies, PPE, and specialized equipment across the station and within vehicles.
Expirations & Waste Mitigation:
Implement a strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system to monitor and rotate stock, ensuring no expired items are on active ambulances.
Narcotics & Controlled Substances:
Assist in the highly regulated tracking, logging, and secure disposal of controlled substances in strict compliance with legal frameworks.
Vendor Relations:
Coordinate with medical supply vendors to place orders, negotiate pricing, track backorders, and evaluate alternative products.
Ambulance Audits:
Conduct random and scheduled deep-dive audits of ambulance interior configurations to ensure they are stocked precisely to standard operating procedures.
Equipment Calibration:
Track and log the servicing and calibration of critical medical hardware, such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and motorized stretchers. Other duties as assigned
Required Skills :
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Commitment to teamwork and assisting colleagues in achieving company goals Ability to think independently, to find creative solutions Availability to infrequently work into the evening, weekends, weekdays, and holidays if needed. Confident phone presence Map reading skills, including online mapping programs General geographic knowledge of Dallas and surrounding counties
Education:
High School or equivalent (Required)
Experience :
- Customer service: 3 years (Preferred) -
Logistics:
3 years (Preferred) EMT-License is a plus
Job Type:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
