Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our supply chain team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the seamless coordination of warehouse distribution, transportation planning, and inventory management. Your expertise will ensure efficient order fulfillment, optimal vendor and supplier relationships, and adherence to trade compliance standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence process improvements, leverage data analysis skills, and contribute to a high-performing logistics environment that supports our company's growth and customer satisfaction goals. Duties Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and inventory control to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize purchasing strategies, negotiate pricing, and develop category management plans that maximize value. Utilize data analysis tools such as Excel data analysis, SQL, and spreadsheets to collect, analyze, and report on supply chain metrics including demand planning, inventory levels, and freight costs. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery schedules aligned with production planning. Practice cross-functional communication with warehouse management, customer service, production teams, and trade compliance departments to streamline operations and enhance service levels. Manage client and prospective-client communications throughout the bunker sales process, responding to inquiries, discussing project requirements and shelter options, coordinating follow-ups and supporting customers from inital interest through the sales and project-planning stages Experience Proven experience in supply chain operations or logistics management roles with a focus on warehouse distribution, transportation planning, or materials handling. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems (IMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or similar systems. Demonstrated proficiency in data collection techniques, analysis skills using Excel or SQL for reporting purposes. Hands-on experience with freight forwarding, shipping & receiving processes, procurement practices, and vendor management. Familiarity with international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and export/import documentation requirements. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a strategic mindset for category management and process improvement initiatives. Practicing in a supply chain operations role with strong organizational skills in inventory control, demand planning, procurement strategies, and logistics management is highly desirable.
