Our employees enjoy more than just a great work environment! This position will be based at Ashburn, VA. We are seeking an accomplished technician to join our organization within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. As a depot technician, you will become an integral part in ensuring operations and diagnostic configurations are consistently being performed at optimal levels. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and certifications, with a focus on configurations for Windows devices, network configurations, and other essential criteria.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and configure specific software packages such as: operating systems, hardware drivers, and custom application software onto desktop, server, PDA, and deployable systems
- Perform system hardware diagnostics and advises on system problems; troubleshoots and makes repairs to returned maintenance supported equipment.
- Complete assignments with independent thought and action within the scope of specific assignments
- Enter data or information into a terminal, PC, or other keyboard device using various software packages
- Depot repair, testing, logistics, shipping & receiving - supporting DMDC maintenance contracts
- Enter commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operations
- Performs maintenance tasks including (but not limited to): replacing bad component, motherboard, power supply, memory, disk drive, etc.
- Technical point-of-contact for other members of the Tier
III DMDC
Support team for hardware related problems as well as providing technical assistance to system end users- Inspects problematic equipment returned by end users and determines if repair can be made in-house or requires item to be sent to OEM/other vendor for repair
- Maintain inventory levels for standard installation materials and replenish stock as needed
- Perform other administrative and support functions such as: shipping, receiving, training, and reporting
- Work cooperatively with other Telos Corporation and Telos Identity Management employees, government agencies and other industry partners
- Perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
- Coordinate with field staff to determine parts requirements
- Maintain shipment logs
- Manage system images using Symantec Ghost software.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
An active DoD Secret Clearance is required- An active Comptia Security+ certification is required
- High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Required to stand, walk, and use hands frequently
- Must have experience providing user assistance with hardware and system support problems
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required
- A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required
- The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship
