Monday - Friday (Saturdays required as needed; optional overtime on Sundays) Position Summary Axiom Staffing Group is recruiting a versatile, multi-skilled technician on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in the Winchester, VA area. This combined, full-time role merges preventative equipment maintenance with material handling and quarter-fold operations. Candidates will support machine reliability while assisting with flyer processing, inventory, and material transport to ensure overall operational success. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Lubrication Monitor and maintain oil levels across various production machines and refill automatic grease systems. Perform scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, and annual lubrication tasks managed through an electronic maintenance control system. Safely use and maintain basic mechanical hand tools, perform minor mechanical troubleshooting, and document completed work electronically. Quarter-Fold & Logistics Support Operates specialized equipment in the Quarter-Fold department to sort, stack, and pack small flyers for shipping. Transport material and pallets manually or using a pallet jack; restock operational supplies in the work area as needed. Perform electronic updates using computer systems to start, stop, or adjust production runs and log inventory changes. Assist in the Rework area during slow periods by inspecting pallets of materials, sorting expired stock, transporting waste to the paper compactor, and updating inventory. Safety & Physical Expectations Adhere strictly to all plant safety regulations, PPE guidelines, and facility policies (including non-smoking and stay-on-site protocols). Safely maneuver around operational machinery, navigate elevated work surfaces (ladders, stairs, platforms), and perform essential physical tasks—including bending, reaching, and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)—while wearing required PPE and adhering to OSHA safety guidelines. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong mechanical aptitude with prior experience in a manufacturing or printing setting preferred. Basic math and computer skills required for electronic task logging and inventory entry. Experience with pallet jacks, basic hand tools, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, or welding/machining is a plus.
