Job Description

Description We are looking for a Receiving Clerk to support daily shipping and receiving activity near Ramsey, New Jersey. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is organized, hands-on, and comfortable managing incoming shipments in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help keep materials moving efficiently, maintain accurate shipment records, and coordinate logistics activities that support day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the receipt of incoming deliveries and verify that shipments are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
  • Coordinate daily movement of materials by organizing shipping and receiving activities to meet operational timelines.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork, labels, and related documentation to ensure orders are processed correctly.
  • Track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate updates to internal teams as needed.
  • Maintain organized inventory and shipment records to support accuracy and efficient workflow.
  • Work with carriers, vendors, and internal partners to resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies.
  • Assist with morning shipment intake and prioritize materials for timely handling and distribution. Requirements
  • Experience supporting logistics, distribution, shipping, or receiving operations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple shipments and manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory tracking, and receiving procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with regular hands-on involvement in shipment processing.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems used for shipment tracking, recordkeeping, and logistics coordination.
