Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for managing the purchasing of critical chemical materials, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring uninterrupted production through effective supplier communication and supply chain planning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys balancing purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) schedules Review demand forecasts and inventory requirements to ensure adequate supply levels Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers regarding delivery timelines Communicate potential supply chain risks and material shortages to internal stakeholders Maintain appropriate inventory levels while adhering to storage and container limitations Analyze purchasing and inventory data using Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and other reporting tools Utilize SAP Business One to manage purchasing activities and inventory transactions Collaborate with operations, production, and suppliers to support business objectives Track multiple purchasing schedules and priorities while maintaining strong organizational control Qualifications 3+ years of purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or manufacturing-related experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment required SAP experience strongly preferred, ideally SAP Business One Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables Understanding of MRP, inventory planning, and purchasing processes Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication and supplier relationship management skills
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
