Job Description
. Keep Service Moving. Keep Customers Running. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you're the problem solver behind every successful service call. From sourcing hard-to-find parts for legacy and custom equipment to optimizing inventory for our field service teams, you'll play a critical role in keeping customers up and running. At Global Finishing Solutions (GFS), every day brings a new challenge. You'll partner with Engineering, Aftermarket, Purchasing, and suppliers to identify technical components, develop sourcing solutions, and ensure the right materials are available when they're needed most. If you enjoy solving complex supply chain challenges, building strong supplier relationships, and making a direct impact on customer success, this is the opportunity for you. What Success Looks Like Become the go-to expert for sourcing replacement parts for legacy, custom, and competitor equipment—finding creative solutions when standard options don't exist. Partner with Engineering to identify mechanical and electrical components while validating alternative part solutions that keep customers operating. Build and strengthen supplier relationships while identifying new sourcing opportunities that improve cost, quality, and availability. Keep our field service teams equipped by managing service vehicle inventory, replenishment planning, and transfer orders. Analyze inventory trends and planning data to optimize stocking levels, improve service availability, and reduce excess inventory. Drive continuous improvement by recommending inventory strategies, SKU standardization, and process enhancements across our aftermarket operations. Maintain accurate ERP planning data and inventory settings to support efficient replenishment and operational excellence. Collaborate across Supply Chain, Engineering, Purchasing, and Aftermarket to solve problems and deliver exceptional customer support. Qualifications That Shine 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, MRO, service parts, or field service operations. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to identify mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment components. Experience sourcing replacement parts, cross-referencing components, or identifying alternatives for obsolete or hard-to-find parts. Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed inventory decisions. Experience supporting inventory planning, replenishment strategies, or service operations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
