About the Role As a Professional Commercial Driver, you will play a vital role in our logistics operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of heavy machinery to various job sites. You will leverage modern fleet management technology to streamline your routes and provide exceptional service to our clients, acting as a key representative of our organization in the field. Responsibilities Transport heavy equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all state and federal transportation regulations. Maneuver large truck and trailer combinations into complex loading zones with precision. Manage the loading and unloading process, ensuring all cargo is secured properly for transit. Maintain accurate digital and physical logs, including bills of lading and delivery documentation. Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness and safety. Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors to optimize delivery schedules and yard logistics. Communicate professionally with customers at delivery points to ensure satisfaction and clear expectations. Qualifications Required Skills Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to pass a DOT physical and mandatory drug screening. Clean driving record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check. Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and sit for extended periods. Preferred Skills Experience operating heavy machinery or construction-related equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing route conditions. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and fleet tracking software. Commitment to safety-first practices and continuous professional improvement.
