As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team. Position Overview The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily transportation operations by coordinating shipments, communicating with carriers and customers, monitoring freight movement, maintaining accurate logistics records, and ensuring timely delivery of customer loads. This position plays a vital role in maintaining efficient operations while providing outstanding service to both customers and transportation partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily freight shipments from pickup through final delivery. Communicate with carriers, drivers, brokers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and scheduling. Schedule pickups, deliveries, and transportation appointments. Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve transportation issues. Maintain accurate shipment records and logistics documentation. Review transportation paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Update shipment information within transportation management systems and company databases. Assist with freight scheduling, route coordination, and shipment planning. Support carrier onboarding and maintain transportation records. Coordinate appointment scheduling with customers and shipping facilities. Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery schedules. Track transportation performance and assist with operational reporting. Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. Collaborate with dispatch, operations, customer service, and management teams to improve workflow efficiency. Perform additional logistics and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, customer service, freight coordination, or supply chain operations is preferred but not required. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is helpful but not required. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Professional attitude with a strong customer-service mindset.
