Job Description
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accredited university is required or equivalent experience of not less than 4 years related minimum experience. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The salary range for this position is $75K and $95K Other Skills and Abilities Familiarity with fastener industry part numbers and general manufacturing terminology preferred. Requires excellent negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience in purchasing, warehousing, logistics and customer service preferred. Other Qualifications Knowledge of Oracle Applications, Intermediate Excel, COP/ QAD, web- based applications experience preferred Essential Functions Understand inventory management & other Logistics programs. Administer/ review customer orders/ blanket orders, re: price, quantity, delivery, terms, conditions, etc. Perform customer service, resolve routine and more complex customers issues Downloads customers' web-based/other demand & inventory data daily/as necessary. Review customer demand & inventory data daily/as necessary to release customer orders for shipping to manage customer demand and inventory levels. Decide/ assist/ advise other team members on quantity allocation to multiple customers when HFS inventory is insufficient to meet customers' expectations. Negotiate deliveries with internal suppliers and external customers as necessary. Analyze/understand customer demand/requirements, contractual commitments, customer specifications, and other data to assist in improving logistics program activities. Coordinate/negotiate with other functions (shipping, warehouse, manufacturing sites, IS, purchasing and QA) to provide response to customer. Discuss and negotiate with customers re: customer demand, forecasts, inventory requirements, and inventory levels. Identify fluctuation in consumptions and seek explanations/resolutions. Coordinate follow-up between customer and manufacturing sites to better support customer needs. Advise customers about schedule changes. Coordinate RMAs and CERs to resolve discrepancies as necessary. Analyze and recommend improvements for inbound and outbound product flows, inventory movement, inventory levels, product consolidation and shipment (multiple facilities, between facilities, to customer as appropriate/necessary). Contribute to process/ methodology/ work practices improvement. Strong involvement in the execution and completion of the projects. Provide input to the forecast management groups to help in the creation of appropriate production order runs. Assist with other demand management activities as directed. Meet with customers on or off site as required.
