This hands-on role works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, sales, suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and international customers to ensure materials are available when needed and shipments are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable trade requirements. The successful candidate brings proven experience in a manufacturing environment, strong international shipping and export-documentation capability, and expert-level proficiency in SAP—preferably SAP Business One. This person will use SAP daily to manage purchase orders, inventory, sales orders, production-related material requirements, shipment transactions, reporting, and exception resolution. Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Coordination

• Coordinate the end-to-end flow of raw materials, components, packaging, and finished goods from suppliers through manufacturing, warehousing, and customer delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels, open purchase orders, production requirements, sales-order demand, lead times, and shipment schedules to identify potential shortages or delivery risks before they affect production or customers.
• Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Packing & Dispatch, Sales, and Purchasing to align material availability with production plans, customer commitments, and export schedules.
• Maintain accurate visibility of inbound materials, work-in-process, finished-goods inventory, backorders, open orders, and supply constraints.
• Expedite critical materials and coordinate with suppliers when lead times, quantities, quality, or delivery dates do not meet operational needs.
• Support the development and maintenance of reorder points, safety-stock levels, minimum order quantities, and planning parameters.
• Identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete, or at-risk inventory and recommend actions to improve working capital, storage utilization, and inventory accuracy.
• Participate in cycle counts, physical inventory activities, and root-cause investigations for inventory discrepancies. SAP and Data Management
• Serve as the primary supply-chain power user for SAP, with expert proficiency required in SAP Business One or a comparable SAP environment.
• Create, review, update, and track purchase orders, sales orders, inventory transfers, goods receipts, goods issues, deliveries, returns, and related transactions in SAP.
• Maintain accurate item master data, supplier data, lead times, purchase pricing, order status, shipping details, and inventory records.
• Use SAP reporting and transaction data to monitor demand, available-to-promise inventory, open purchase orders, late orders, material usage, shipment status, and inventory variances.
• Support MRP and material-planning activities by reviewing system recommendations, validating demand and supply assumptions, and escalating exceptions.
• Ensure timely, accurate ERP transactions so inventory, purchasing, production, and financial records reflect actual physical activity.
• Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and exception lists for supply-chain performance, including inventory levels, supplier delivery, on-time shipment, backlog, and freight activity.
• Help train and support other team members on proper SAP processes, transaction discipline, and data accuracy. International Shipping and Export Coordination
• Coordinate international shipments from order release through final delivery, working with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers as required.
• Prepare, review, and maintain complete international-shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, export declarations, and other customer- or country-specific documents.
• Ensure shipping documentation accurately reflects product descriptions, quantities, values, weights, dimensions, Incoterms, country of origin, harmonized tariff classifications, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate airfreight, ocean freight, parcel, LTL, full-truckload, and other transportation modes based on customer needs, delivery urgency, cost, and shipment characteristics.
• Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to resolve documentation discrepancies, customs holds, delivery delays, damage claims, and other international-shipment exceptions.
• Maintain awareness of export-control, customs, trade-compliance, and restricted-party-screening requirements applicable to company products and destinations.
• Confirm that international customer orders are shipped according to agreed Incoterms, payment terms, routing instructions, labeling requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Track international shipments in transit, proactively communicate risks or delays, and provide internal stakeholders and customers with timely status updates.
• Assist with freight-cost analysis, carrier performance reviews, and opportunities to improve transportation cost, transit time, and shipment reliability. Supplier and Carrier Coordination
• Communicate regularly with domestic and international suppliers to confirm purchase-order receipt, production status, shipment dates, quantities, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain professional working relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, parcel carriers, and transportation providers.
• Escalate supplier performance issues, late deliveries, shortages, quality concerns, and documentation problems promptly to the appropriate internal leader.
• Support supplier scorecarding and performance reviews using measures such as on-time delivery, lead-time reliability, quality, responsiveness, and cost.
• Obtain freight quotes, compare routing options, and support carrier selection in accordance with delivery requirements and company cost objectives.
• Verify freight invoices and assist in resolving billing discrepancies, duplicate charges, accessorial charges, and freight claims. Continuous Improvement and Compliance
• Identify process improvements that reduce manual work, improve transaction accuracy, shorten lead times, reduce freight expense, and strengthen on-time delivery.
• Help standardize procedures for purchasing coordination, receiving, inventory movements, shipping, export documentation, and SAP transaction processing.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives involving planning, warehouse flow, packaging, shipping processes, inventory control, and supplier management.
• Maintain organized records for purchase orders, shipping documents, carrier correspondence, export documentation, and supply-chain transactions.
• Follow all company safety, quality, inventory-control, and compliance procedures while working in the office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment.
• Support a collaborative, customer-focused culture across Manufacturing, Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Operations. QualificationsRequired
• 3+ years of supply chain, logistics, purchasing coordination, inventory control, or customer-fulfillment experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience coordinating international and domestic shipments, including export documentation, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international carriers.
• Expert-level SAP experience is required. Strong preference for SAP Business One experience, including purchase orders, inventory transactions, sales orders, goods receipts, deliveries, reporting, and material-planning support.
• Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in an ERP-driven environment with high transaction volume and changing priorities.
• Experience coordinating inbound materials, supplier deliveries, inventory availability, production requirements, and outbound customer shipments.
• Working knowledge of international shipping documentation, Incoterms, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, export requirements, and freight terminology.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, purchase-order management, lead times, replenishment, and basic material-planning principles.
• Strong Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, lookups, pivot tables, reporting, and data reconciliation.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially when managing product descriptions, quantities, weights, shipment values, customer documents, and ERP transactions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, warehouse personnel, sales teams, and management.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize urgent issues, solve problems independently, and follow through on commitments. Preferred
• Experience in irrigation, agricultural equipment, industrial products, plastics, injection molding, assembly, or other light-manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting international distribution to multiple countries and managing ocean-freight, airfreight, and containerized shipments.
• Familiarity with tariff classifications, country-of-origin requirements, export controls, customs processes, and trade-compliance documentation.
• Experience with MRP, demand planning, production scheduling, supplier scorecards, or inventory optimization.
• Experience with warehouse-management practices, barcoding, cycle counting, and shipping systems.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, operations, international trade, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• APICS/ASCM, CSCP, CPIM, customs, international-trade, or logistics certification is a plus. Performance Measures

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility as needed to verify inventory, coordinate shipments, and support warehouse activity.
