Description We are looking for a Logistics Analyst to support transportation activities across truck and rail operations in Alpharetta, Georgia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with freight data, carrier coordination, and cost control in a dynamic supply chain setting. The person in this role will help improve shipment visibility, strengthen billing accuracy, and contribute to efficient logistics performance through detailed analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee transportation rate files and carrier agreements, keeping pricing records current and aligned with cost management goals.
• Analyze freight market conditions and carrier results to identify opportunities for stronger service and more effective transportation spend.
• Examine carrier invoices and vendor account statements to confirm billing accuracy before payment processing.
• Prepare customer debit documentation related to accessorial charges and ensure supporting records are complete.
• Research freight billing exceptions, work through disputes, and drive timely resolution with carriers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with business partners and service providers to promote consistent invoicing practices and clear communication.
• Produce recurring logistics reports that track transportation costs, service performance, and key operational indicators.
• Assist with transportation analytics tools and dashboard development to improve visibility into shipment activity and trends.
• Support daily railcar coordination and truck scheduling while helping maintain compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain operations, or freight-related accounting.
• Familiarity with truck transportation, rail logistics, or both within a fast-moving operational environment.
• Strong analytical ability with the skill to investigate discrepancies and interpret transportation data.
• Excellent organizational skills with careful attention to records, documentation, and detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience using SAP or similar business systems to support logistics and distribution processes.
