THE MISSION

The Pacific theater demands precision, adaptability, and deep operational know-how. K2 is looking for a Logistics Operations Analyst to support a joint logistics and engineering organization at Camp Smith, Honolulu, HI. You'll analyze theater requirements, infrastructure constraints, and logistics dependencies, then turn that analysis into actionable products for decision-makers. From deliberate planning to real-world contingency operations, your work directly supports theater readiness, force posture, and engineering integration across Service components and regional partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Analyze theater requirements, infrastructure constraints, access limitations, and logistics dependencies affecting engineering support across the Pacific Attend operational briefs, OPGs, planning sessions, and coordination meetings — independently capture decisions, taskings, risks, and follow-up actions Translate engineering guidance and operational priorities into concise planning inputs, logistics assessments, staff products, and recommendations Coordinate with engineering, logistics, planning, and operations personnel across the joint force and Service components Support integration of engineering requirements into CONPLANs, OPLANs, contingency plans, exercise plans, and related operational products Assess the feasibility and supportability of force posture, basing, infrastructure, and sustainment concepts Develop briefings, decision papers, executive summaries, readiness updates, trackers, and other products for senior military and civilian leaders Support exercise operations and real-world planning activities, including participation in a shift-work environment when required Maintain planning processes, status trackers, readiness indicators, and reporting mechanisms that improve visibility of engineering and logistics requirements Provide lessons learned and post-event recommendations to improve future planning and operational execution Plan, track, and coordinate movement of Class IV materials — sandbags, barbed wire, lumber, concrete, and comparable construction and barrier materials — through TRANSCOM, DLA, military distribution, or similar logistics channels Translate engineering requirements, including BDA, ADR, PDR, and FP considerations, into prioritized logistics assessments, movement actions, and clear operational briefings

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, logistics, operations research, architecture, military studies, national security studies, regional planning, or a related field Eight or more years of relevant experience in joint military planning, operational logistics, engineering operations, infrastructure assessment, force posture analysis, or defense planning support Demonstrated experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, Service component, defense agency, or comparable military planning environments Working knowledge of joint planning processes, operational design, plan assessment, and staff integration across deliberate and crisis action planning Strong analytical and note-taking skills, including the ability to understand construction properties and communicate technically accurate information to the broader team Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, particularly when attending briefs, OPGs, and other senior-level planning forums Solid understanding of Pacific geography, regional access constraints, and the operating environment involving U.S. allies and partners Familiarity with joint operations, Priority of Effort, and the integration of engineering support across Service components Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders and coordinate across diverse stakeholder groups Ability to work effectively in an exercise, contingency, or shift-work environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common planning, collaboration, tracking, and data-analysis tools Active TS/SCI eligibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience supporting U.S. Pacific Command, another Geographic Combatant Command, Joint Staff, Service component headquarters, or comparable theater-level organization Experience with contingency engineering, crisis action teams, exercise planning cells, posture planning, infrastructure assessments, or theater logistics planning Experience working with allies, partners, host-nation organizations, or interagency stakeholders in the Pacific region Joint Professional Military Education, engineer officer advanced schooling, or equivalent military planning education Professional Engineer license, project or program management credential, or process-improvement certification Master's degree in engineering, logistics, operations research, systems engineering, national security affairs, public policy, or a related discipline
