This newly created role will be based at our state-of-the-art facility in Bedford Park, Illinois. Your role will be within Forklift Exchange's Procurement and Supply Chain Department, where you will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of various departments involved in production, forecasting, warehousing, pricing, and distribution of goods. The position is a unique blend of the above, providing you with a new challenge every day. As a part of our dynamic company culture, you will be exposed to a lot of different aspects of the company and some duties might fall outside of strictly "Supply Chain Analyst."
Responsibilities:
Creating new vendor relationships by strategic investigation and multi-tiered cost benefit analysis using a wide range of indicators. Managing the distribution and arranging arrival times of parts needed on future and ongoing jobs both in the field and in house. Engage in daily meetings with the service department to ensure the success of ongoing and new projects, making sure tight deadlines are met. Tracking inventory through a Kanban System and reorder goods when needed. Maintaining databases on logistics data, including information on transportation costs and availability of parts and labor. Managing the sourcing, shipping and receiving of material handling equipment to ensure that needed parts and machinery are received by the company and its customers in the most efficient manner. Designing projects to continuously improve the company's operational efficiency and ability to meet key performance indicators. Engage in cross-departmental strategic meetings to develop a production plan for the creation of a new assembly line for a terminal tractor. Work closely with the engineering department for the creation of new components that will improve functionality and design of the new product. Strategize and prioritize tasks in order to meet dynamic timelines on production. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors for better lead times, lower costs or other needs. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Track and stay up to date on industry trends and new products. Create an integrated report on the full cost of production and lead time of all components needed for the creation of the Yard Boss terminal tractor.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management preferred. 1-3 years of related experience. Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs/Sheets/Drive/Gmail)

Marty Flaska, owner/founder, started and sold the Hoist Liftruck brand to Toyota in April 2019. Our company's focus is on buying and selling used material handling forklifts, marina boat lifts, and construction equipment nationwide, along with revamping our big truck service and rental business in our facilities.
