Duration:
1 year contract We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts / Materials Coordinator to support material flow, procurement coordination, inventory control, and equipment logistics within a dynamic engineering and laboratory environment. This role is critical to ensuring parts, tools, and equipment are available, accurately tracked, compliant with quality requirements, and efficiently managed from receipt through use. The coordinator will partner closely with engineering, lab operations, quality, sourcing, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities Material & Inventory Coordination- Track incoming parts, components, and deliveries
- Allocate and receive materials into inventory systems
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels
- Perform cycle counts and reconciliation activities
- Identify shortages, discrepancies, and risks Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
- Manage shipping and receiving processes
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders/requests
- Inspect shipments for damage and resolve issues
- Coordinate outbound shipments (repairs, calibration, returns)
- Maintain shipping and tracking documentation Procurement & Purchasing Support
- Initiate PCard purchases
- Process procurement workflows through OTS (or equivalent systems)
- Track open orders and delivery status
- Coordinate with sourcing/procurement and vendors
- Support RMAs, returns, and replacements Material Control & Compliance
- Label and maintain part identification/traceability
- Maintain segregation of accepted, uninspected, and nonconforming/quarantine materials
- Support incoming inspection workflows
- Maintain certifications and material documentation (CoC, etc.)
- Support audit and compliance readiness Hardware & Workflow Support
- Initiate hardware/material workflows
- Track material movement through build/test lifecycle
- Maintain visibility of material usage and allocation M&TE & Equipment Coordination
- Track calibration due dates
- Coordinate shipments to/from calibration vendors
- Maintain calibration records and certificates
- Segregate expired/out-of-calibration equipment Operational Support
- Kit/stage parts for scheduled builds and tests
- Coordinate material readiness with lab/test leads
- Reduce technician/engineer time spent locating materials Qualifications
- Experience in material coordination, procurement, quality, supply chain, or related field
- Familiarity with purchasing/procurement systems (OTS, ERP, etc.)
- Understanding of inventory control and material traceability
- Strong organizational and tracking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a technical environment Preferred Qualifications
- Background in quality systems or regulated environments
- Experience supporting engineering or laboratory operations
