Job Description

About the role This is a specialized material handling position focusing on the movement of materials within the business system and physically in the factory. Performs primarily only of the following roles in the Material Handling area competently; material/product receipt, storage and issuance of materials to manufacturing areas , packing and shipping. Responsible for accurately maintaining our inventories in the business system and physically protecting the inventories from damage and loss.

) What you will be doing Receive in products, components and materials from external sources, perform incoming verification checks, and execute the appropriate transactions in SAP. Physically deliver the received items to the proper location and execute any corresponding SAP transactions. Replenish components and materials to manufacturing to keep production flowing; adhere to FIFO principles and requirements. Execute any corresponding SAP transactions. Accountable for inventory accuracy through transactional accuracy while performing material receipts or moves within SAP; Assist cycle counters in researching inventory discrepancies; implement corrective action and preventive action. Move finished goods from manufacturing to shipping area. Execute appropriate SAP material transactions. Prepare shipments to customers, suppliers and other Southco facilities, including completing required paperwork/ documentation, packing, and shipping the items to be delivered. Execute appropriate SAP transactions. Maintain Housekeeping / Workplace Organization / PM
  • Organize flow lanes, clearly label rack locations, perform assigned PM on equipment, and spin chips as necessary.
Maintain compliance to TS16949, regulatory (i.e. customs, CTPAT), and all Southco EHS, security and quality About you High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Knowledge of the business system as it applies to the Warehouse Management module of SAP Knowledge of Inventory control. Knowledge of the legal and environmental requirements as it pertains to shipping products and materials. SAP Training Preferred (Move & Put Away, Pick & Pack and Receiving). Fork Truck Certification
