Job Description

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Supply Chain Analyst Intern will support key logistics and planning initiatives across CertainTeed's Roofing business. Based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, this role provides hands-on experience in areas such as demand planning, production planning, transportation, inventory management, customer service, and data management. In this role, you will: Analyze supply chain data and develop reports that support business and leadership decisions Help monitor inventory levels, working capital, forecast accuracy, customer service, on-time delivery, and other key performance indicators Support production planning and scheduling to help meet customer demand, shipping commitments, and inventory targets Review sales activity and product trends across distribution centers Assist with interplant inventory transfers and product availability across the network Create Excel-based analyses, presentations, dashboards, and management reports Support transportation reporting and carrier performance measurement Help maintain planning data and system records, including SAP planning parameters and production models Work with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Sales, and other business partners to improve service, cost, and operational performance Complete special projects and provide ad hoc data analysis as needed Present a final project and recommendations to the executive team at the conclusion of the internship program
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
This internship may be a good fit if you: Are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills Are comfortable working with large data sets and identifying trends Have experience using Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present information Can communicate findings clearly through reports, presentations, and data visualizations Are organized and able to manage multiple priorities or assignments Take initiative and look for opportunities to improve processes, customer service, cost, and working capital Are interested in gaining experience across multiple areas of Supply Chain Can work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leaders Experience with SAP, production planning systems, reporting tools, or supply chain analytics is preferred but not required.
