Position Purpose:

As a Logistics Planner, you will strategize with our procurement manager and corporate purchasing team to build outbound shipments to all OpCo's. You will maximize truck capacities to help minimize transportations costs while keeping OpCo's fill rates at or above company standards. You will conduct administrative tasks, monitor various reports and communicate with internal and external personnel. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, ability to handle a multitude of tasks and collaborate with team to add value to the corporate buying department.

Position Responsibilities:

Follow weekly schedule of outbound shipments and process orders on timetable given Work close with all outbound team members to insure all orders are completed within the timeframe for billing. Determine the OpCo's needs by meeting with Operations weekly and adjusting your upcoming schedule for your OpCo's as well as keeping a balanced workload Insure that all ordered product is in good inventory status before placing orders Review all suggested quantities before accepting and approving orders Reviewing and correcting item level buy multiples and convenience packs insuring that product is not purchasing more than every two weeks were appropriate Responsible for reduction of spoils due to over ordering - Max days, Max Units Incorporate Promotional Outbound Cubes into outbound orders Incorporate all Fresh Vendor cubes into outbound orders. Order all needed promotional inventory utilizing R6 best practices Review and order as necessary all drop ship vendors Coordinate with buyers on identifying items on allocation and other database changes Maintain communication with internal and external customer customers when necessary Special Projects and other assigned duties. Maintain safe work environment, adhere to safety procedures The ideal candidate will posses: Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage time sensitive projects Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in a professional manner Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple departments Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Benefits Information Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate Math skills and 10-key Preferred qualifications: 1 to 3 years of related experience in a purchasing environment or related field Familiarity or working knowledge of R6, AS400 and SAP experience Associates degree
