A Mining Manager is responsible for planning future mine production, overseeing the development and tunneling of the mine, checking the quality of stone, rock and minerals, and inspecting the mine for danger. Carry out generic management duties, such as hiring staff, organizing staff training, overseeing financial administration, and liaising and negotiating with suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.

Job Description
GMS is looking to hire a Project Manager to our growing team in Alaska! The Underground Mining Project Manager oversees operational, safety, and production aspects to ensure targets are achieved safely and on schedule. The successful candidate will have 5 years minimum experience with underground mining and project management, and the ability to full cycle mine underground. Jackleg experience is required. This position will include timekeeping, creating reports, and meeting with MSHA representatives. Travel, lodging, and meals are paid for. The successful candidate is required to have or obtain an underground MSHA prior to starting with GMS.
