This is a senior site-based position responsible for providing technical leadership across mine planning, engineering, geology, surveying and related technical services , ensuring the operation has robust plans and processes in place to support safe, efficient and sustainable production. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations and senior leadership teams, providing technical expertise and strategic direction while supporting the long-term development of the mine. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Technical Services function, including mine planning, engineering, geology and surveying. Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term mine plans. Provide technical guidance to support safe and efficient mining operations. Oversee production planning, scheduling and mine design activities. Ensure technical studies and engineering work are completed to a high standard. Support Life of Mine planning and identify opportunities to improve mine performance. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Processing and other departments to align technical plans with production requirements. Manage technical services personnel, contractors and consultants where required. Monitor operational performance against plans and provide recommendations for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations, company standards and safety requirements. Support capital projects, expansion studies and other strategic initiatives. Develop and maintain effective technical systems, procedures and reporting. Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior site leadership. About You The ideal candidate will have: A degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline. Significant experience within the mining industry, ideally in a technical services or mine engineering leadership position. Strong experience with mine planning and scheduling. Previous experience managing and developing technical teams. A strong understanding of mining operations, production planning and technical risk. Experience working across multidisciplinary teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
