Surface Belt Supervisor
Location/Subsidiary:
Enlow Fork Mine/ Consol Pennsylvania Coal Company Position Summary This position is a supervisory role, responsible for the safe operation of the surface belt system. Target Responsibilities Responsible for surface belt systems at mine, to include installation, advancement and retreat. Coordinate belt system processes with the maintenance department and shift coordinators to minimize downtime Acquire and analyze equipment information. Develops, implements, and monitors belt availability Responsible for good working relationship with hourly workers, with the willingness to accept new ideas and methods of performing work. Sets goals, priorities, and standards through communication and cooperation with all departments Assists with the implementation of all safety policies and procedures related to an injury free work environment Sur Minimum Requirements Must be 18 years of age Thorough knowledge of state and federal mining laws, to include those that regulate a belt conveyor system Supervisory experience with the ability to successfully supervise and motivate the workforce Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires Must be able to work as scheduled and arrive to the worksite promptly to receive work assignment and prepare for the start of the shift Must be able to work a shift rotation Must be able to work safely and effectively as a part of a team Must be able to perform heavy work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles which may include but not limited to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, or pry. •Physical demands of the job are subject to change based on industry demands Must be able to work on/near moving equipment as required by job Must be able to understand and grasp mining concepts and safety strategies Preferred Qualifications Supervisory/management skills and experience Specialty certification or experience
