About Us Bienvenidos is a nonprofit organization based in Gallatin County, Montana, dedicated to amplifying the voices of the Spanish-speaking community, fostering meaningful connections, and empowering individuals to access resources while creating a sense of belonging and welcome in Montana. Role Overview and Core Responsibilities This exciting full-time role will ensure that the organization can continue our exponential growth. The Executive Director (ED) provides overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for Bienvenidos. Further, the ED is responsible for ensuring alignment between mission, strategy, programming, development, finances, staff, and board governance, while serving as the primary ambassador and steward of the organization's work in the community. A strong candidate for this role will have native Spanish language skills, non-profit experience and a lived understanding of the community that Bienvenidos serves. Development & Fundraising Leadership Strategically design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive fundraising plan alongside the development team and board. Jointly identify, prioritize, and align grant opportunities with organizational needs, specific programs, and operational capacity. Cultivate, steward, and maintain relationships with individual donors, foundations, and partner organizations. Meet regularly with donors and funders to communicate the mission, values, impact, and evolving priorities of Bienvenidos. Partner in the development and execution of fundraising campaigns, events and donor engagement strategies. Coordinate with the development team to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Oversee donor systems and stewardship processes. Ensure all development efforts are strategically aligned with programming, operations, budget, and long-term organizational goals. Program Development, Oversight & Quality Assurance Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and strategic plan. Alongside Program Manager, plan annual programming in line with budget and priorities. Regularly meet with staff to monitor progress, deadlines, outcomes, and capacity. Ensure program policies and procedures are in place and followed to promote equity, fairness, ethical care, and appropriate treatment of clients and families. Communicate program policies, updates, and expectations to staff, board members, and volunteers, as applicable. Communications & Community Engagement Serve as a primary spokesperson for Bienvenidos to educate the community on immigrant issues, rights, and concerns and to share and amplify the mission, programs, and impact of the organization. Meet with potential and existing program partners to provide training, guidance, and technical support related to immigrant issues and community needs. Filter, shape, and approve informational campaigns for distribution within the community. Alongside Program Manager, serve as point of contact for partner organizations. Oversee creation of clear, accurate, and culturally responsive communications via social media, email, and other channels Staff Leadership & Human Resources Foster a healthy, supportive, and mission-driven family-driven organizational culture. Provide overall supervision, leadership, and support for staff. Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies, procedures, systems, and practices. Lead or oversee hiring, onboarding, and staff training. Provide training, professional development opportunities, guidance, feedback, and ongoing support to program staff to build capacity and sustainable growth. Financial Management & Oversight Alongside bookkeeper and Board Treasurer, oversee and manage the organizational budget, ensuring responsible use of funds and adherence to financial constraints. Closely collaborate with the bookkeeper regarding financial status and needs. Monitor financial health and bring concerns, risks, or deviations to the Board. Assure that all financial assistance payments are completed and registered properly. Board Relations & Governance Support Prepare and present monthly Executive Director reports to the Board, including updates on programs, operations, development, and organizational priorities. Provide context, guidance, and insight into day-to-day operations to support informed board decision-making. Ensure organizational compliance with board-approved policies, insurance requirements, and risk management standards.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
