Job Description
Executive Director - Nonprofit | Cumberland County, NJ This is an outstanding opportunity for a mission-driven leader who is passionate about nonprofit leadership, strategic growth, and making a lasting impact within the community. Our client, a well-established nonprofit performing arts organization in Cumberland County, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and oversee daily operations. This individual will partner closely with the Board of Directors to drive organizational growth, financial sustainability, and community impact. Key Responsibilities Provide executive leadership and oversee all organizational operations. Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and long-term financial health. Lead fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, secure grants, and expand community partnerships. Partner with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, governance, and organizational growth. Oversee HR administration, staff leadership, and volunteer management while fostering a positive workplace culture. Serve as the organization's public ambassador through community outreach, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of executive or senior leadership experience , preferably within a nonprofit organization . Proven success in fundraising, donor development, and grant management . Strong budget management and financial oversight experience. Experience building and maintaining donor, board, and community relationships . Background in Human Resources administration , including staff leadership and organizational management. Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Bachelor's degree required. Preferred Experience in the performing arts or cultural nonprofit sector. Background in marketing, public relations, or community engagement.
