Great American Community Kitchen is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a "hand up" to those suffering from food insecurity in our local community. Our food truck hits the streets 7 days a week, serving 2,500 free meals a day in food-insecure communities throughout the area. We also support Army Community Services at Fort Belvoir with a monthly food and diaper contribution that supports hundreds of military families. Through initiatives such as community meal distribution, emergency food support, and volunteer engagement programs, GACK has served over 3.2 million meals since its creation in 2020. We're dedicated to being highly impactful in our mission and need a leader who will take charge and get things done. The Role The Director, in partnership with the Board of Directors, will roll up their sleeves, lead our team, solve problems, and make things happen. You'll manage operations, drive fundraising, engage volunteers, increase community impact, and keep the mission front and center. What You'll Do Set strategy and keep the organization moving forward. Oversee daily operations and fix issues as they come up. Build and lead a strong team. Own fundraising—grants, donors, events, partnerships. Ensure financial accountability. Make sure programs meet real community needs. Represent GACK in the community and support the team. Lead efforts to expand the impact of the Community Kitchen. What You Bring 3+ years in progressive nonprofit or mission-driven leadership Proven success in fundraising and financial management Strong leadership and communication skills Experience working with a nonprofit Board of Directors Director level experience in a nonprofit organization and passion for food security a must Pay & Perks Competitive salary based on experience of $100 - 120k
