The Sales Operations Analyst partners with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and executive leadership to optimize sales performance through data-driven insights, process improvement, and operational support. This role is responsible for sales reporting, forecasting support, CRM optimization, pricing and margin analysis, and continuous improvement of sales processes in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, metrics-driven organization.
Minimum Qualifications :
Sales Analytics & Reporting Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring sales reports and dashboards (bookings, revenue, pipeline, forecasts, backlog, margin, product mix and customer trends). Analyze sales performance by customer, product line, region, and channel to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Support executive-level reporting and monthly business reviews. Forecasting & Planning Support Partner with Sales and Finance to support monthly and quarterly sales forecasting. Analyze forecast accuracy and recommend improvements to forecasting methodologies. Assist in annual sales planning and quota modeling. CRM & Sales Tools Management Serve as a subject matter expert for CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) and business intelligence reporting tools (e.g. Power BI or similar). Ensure data integrity, adoption, and consistent use of sales tools. Support system enhancements, reporting automation, and user training as needed. Pricing, Margin & Deal Support Assist in pricing analysis, discount, returns & allowance monitoring, and margin reporting. Support deal reviews by providing profitability and historical customer insights. Partner with Finance to ensure pricing compliance and alignment with company targets. Process Improvement & Enablement Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes and improve workflow efficiency. Document and maintain sales processes, policies, and standard operating procedures. Support sales enablement initiatives related to tools, reporting, and data visibility. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to align sales execution with operational capabilities. Support analysis related to capacity constraints, lead times, and order fulfillment impacts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analytics, or a similar role. Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling). Experience with CRM systems and business intelligence software tools (Salesforce and Power BI preferred). Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Working Conditions Sedentary work. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
