Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator supports manufacturing improvement initiatives across our offset printing operations — identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This is a hands-on, floor-based role: you'll work closely with production teams, maintenance, and leadership to analyze processes, implement improvements, reduce waste, and help build a culture of continuous improvement. You'll report to the Director of Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement. The role sits within the Quality department while working day to day in support of Manufacturing. What You'll Do
  • Identify and implement process improvements across pressroom, prepress, finishing, and production support areas.
  • Analyze production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and increase throughput.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives — 5S, standard work, visual management, and root-cause analysis.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects from planning through implementation, including time studies and workflow evaluations.
  • Collect and analyze production data — run speeds, setup times, waste, downtime, quality issues — to identify trends and prioritize improvement work.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and help develop corrective actions, working directly with operators and supervisors.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Help train employees on new processes and procedures.
  • Promote a safety-first mindset in every improvement initiative. What You Bring
  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or process improvement.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; comfortable interpreting production data and spotting trends.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communicator who works well with production employees and leadership alike.
  • Hands-on, self-motivated, and comfortable spending your day on the manufacturing floor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Nice to Have
  • Experience in the printing industry — offset printing, sheetfed/web presses, bindery, or finishing operations.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar improvement program experience.
  • Knowledge of print production workflows and equipment.
  • Experience with ERP/MIS systems used in manufacturing or printing.
  • Basic project management skills. Work Environment
  • Full-time, on-site role in a manufacturing environment, with regular time spent walking production areas.
  • Exposure to typical offset-printing conditions — noise, paper dust, ink, and solvents; PPE required in designated areas.
  • Comfortable observing equipment operation and working directly with production teams across shifts.
